Norton Sauvignon Blanc, Mendoza Argentina
Bright, pale yellow, with a touch of green. Intense citrus, including pink grapefruit, and fresh
herbs. Fresh and fruity on the palate with an elegant, balanced finish.
Founded in 1895, Bodega Norton is one of the most awarded Argentine wine brands in the US.
Bodega Norton combines a modern, state-of-the-art facility with rich heritage and old world
charm. The estate is one of the largest in Mendoza with over 3,000 acres of land and over 1,750 acres under vine allowing Bodega Norton to control quality from the vineyard to the bottle.
Situated in the foothills of the Andes mountain range, the estate boasts an average vine age
between 30-80 years old across its five vineyards. These old vines help to drive richness and
depth across the entire portfolio.
Bodega Norton’s focus on quality has made their wines a global phenomenon with more than
156 million glasses of Bodega Norton wines consumed worldwide every year. Dedication to
quality has also garnered the estate over 150 international awards. With over 125 harvests
under their belt, the winery continues to push the limits with innovative approaches in the
vineyard and cellar all aimed at achieving stellar quality. The five estate vineyards of Bodega
Norton combine to give the winemaking team a broad palette of varietals and terroirs to create a unique portfolio of wines.
Montes Chardonnay, Curico Valley, Chile
The nose is intense with aromas of white fruits such as pineapple, white peach, and ripe mango as well as pleasing notes of pear over a back of white flowers. The smooth, medium-bodied palate offers refreshing acidity and a long and lingering fruity
finish.
In the late 1980s, the winery dream of Aurelio Montes Baseden, Montes Wines’ principal
partner and founder, began to develop.
The Beginnings of the Montes Adventure
The story begins at the time when Chilean wine exports started to get going. Montes started in 1987 with an annual production of about 3,000 12-bottle cases. The company was described as a “boutique winery”, making small quantities of high quality wine.
Years later, when my partners and I decided we needed to choose a ‘terroir’ for planting our
first vineyards, I had no doubt: it had to be Apalta. We bought the land in 1990 and began
planting on its hillsides, which were to become the birthplace of our icon wines. Later on, Casa Lapostolle became interested in the valley and I acted as their consultant, and helped them produce their own excellent wines there”, Aurelio Montes recounts.
Aveleda Vino Verde Rose, Portugal
A blend of touring a national and espaderio. Pale rose, in the typical Provence style, this wine is elegant and fruity, with a crisp and delicate bouquet marked by notes of red fruits and berries. The velvet-smooth-texture and penetrating minerality make this wine extremely gastronomic, perfect to pair with dishes with delicate aromas.
Aveleda S.A. is a family-owned company that has been directed and managed by generations of the same family for over three centuries, whose talent has always been devoted to producing wines of renowned quality with a reputation that has long since spread abroad.
A market leader in the Vinho Verde Region, Aveleda is one of the largest wine producers in
Portugal and exports over half of its output to more than 70 countries across the globe every
year.
While preserving its family-based nature to this day, Aveleda has evolved over the years,
combining dedication, tradition and innovation and guaranteeing a careful management which enables it to best keep up with the demands of the market and improve the quality of its products and services.
Kris Pinot Noir, Sicily Italy
The Pinot Noir grape has a uniquely adaptable soul, allowing it to express a region’s terroir like
none other. Grown at high altitudes in Sicily, KRIS is a full-bodied Pinot Noir closer to the
California style than the Burgundy style — but unmistakably Italian in its food friendliness. KRIS
Pinot Noir offers rich aromas of ripe cherries and strawberries, brightened by tart
pomegranate, and grounded by earthy hints of dried tea and tobacco.
KRIS wine is handcrafted in Alto Adige using grapes sourced from Italy’s most esteemed
growing regions. The winery is located in the hillside town of Montagna, where culture is a
unique reflection of Germanic heritage and Italian nationality. An ideal combination of
traditional winemaking artistry and modern technology is used to blend each of the KRIS wines.
The timeless and inspiring KRIS labels emphasize the role of the sun in ripening the grapes to
perfection, the human hand in crafting the wine, and the lips that savor the wine. Riccardo
Schweizer, a native of Alto Adige, studied cubism in Paris under Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró.
The original paintings were given by Schweizer to his friend, the KRIS winery’s founder for his
birthday.
The KRIS winemakers focus on quality, low yield production methods and unique mastery of
classic Alto-Adige grapes, which have gained them much acclaim.
King Estate Next Red Blend, Colombia Valley WA
A blend of syrah, merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine has a ruby center with violet edges. The nose has rich blueberry and earthy aromas with subtle anise and toffee notes. The palate offers flavors of blackberry and plum with hints of cinnamon and tabacco leaf.
King Estate was founded in 1991 on the principles of family, stewardship and tradition. On
1,033 acres at the southern tip of Oregon’s Willamette Valley, King Estate is the largest certified
Biodynamic® vineyard in North America. With a third generation of the King family active in the business, King Estate remains family owned and farmed, dedicated to the highest standards in winemaking.
Alta Vista Malbec, Mendoz Argentina
Shows intense aromas of plum, black cherry and exotic spices, with notes of coffee and vanilla from the oak barrels. The flavors on the palate are fresh, with good structure and soft tannins, and the finish is full and concentrated, with spice notes.
Established in 1998, Alta Vista is a French family-owned winery that focuses on the production of high altitude, site-specific wines. The family’s winemaking knowledge and passion, together with its former ownership of the famous champagne house Piper-Heidsieck, provided the impetus to create a harmonious French-Argentine fusion. Years of research brought them to the top growing regions of Mendoza, an area best suited for the creation of terroir-expression wines.
