When are the wine tastings held?

Most wine tastings start at 7:00 pm and end around 9:30 pm. Wine tastings are usually held on the second Friday of the month but sometimes that changes so watch the calendar closely.

Why do I need to RSVP?

Most Bacchus wine tastings are held in the home of a member. The size of the home, location, and parking are all considerations.  RSVP's are required so that we can know for certain who is coming. Additionally, all wine is purchased for the amount of people attending so the reservations and your payment to attend are required.

What kind of people come to Bacchus?

Bacchus is a mixture of gay men, lesbians, bi-sexual and transgender individuals coming from all walks of life. Most people are between the ages of 30 - 50+, though no one is excluded as long as they are at least 21 years old.

Is this just for couples?

Bacchus is open to couples and singles. Several members were singles are now couples because they met at Bacchus!

My best friend(s) isn't LGBT but they really likes wine.  Can I bring them to Bacchus?

Currently Bacchus is limited to LGBTQ folks.   But, we do have a Bacchus event that is open to anyone over 21: Our December wine tasting is a holiday event when you are encouraged to bring your LGBTQ friends and straight allies. Plus it is also a fundraiser for a local LGBTQ supportive organization.
