January 2023 Tasting Notes
Terlan Lagrein Rose
Color: clear, intensively intensive pink with salmon-colored reflections
Smell: Highly fruity play of aromas with notes of raspberry and strawberry with a hint of amarena cherry
Taste: Very juicy and soft on the palate. That gives this rosé a highly harmonious appeal and, together with its fresh and fruity acidity, makes for an exciting wine.
Carmel Road Chardonnay
Citrus, Asian pear and white peach aromas. Fresh and vibrant on the palate with lively acidity and minerality. Richness and texture leading to a round finish.
Trapiche Oak Cask Malbec
Purple-colored, the nose offers up plum and black cherry notes with a touch of black pepper. The palate is soft and round with ripe, saturated berry flavors. Finishes spicy and full with chewy tannins.
Ideal to serve with cheeses, red meats, mushrooms, stew, and the typical Argentine “asado.”
Carmel Road Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of blackberry and sweet oak that lead to a rich, yet structured palate with flavors of black cherry, blueberry, and notes of vanilla bean.
Seghesio Sonoma Zinfandel
Intense aromatics of currant and plum are complemented by savory notes of black olive, anise and allspice. A bright entry of briary black raspberry gives way to a bold palate of supple, lively tannins and a powerful, lingering finish. Pair with rich and meaty short ribs, braised pork belly, or gnocchi gorgonzola.
Carmel Road Pinot Noir
Our 2020 Monterey Pinot Noir has bright cherry aromas that are layered with notes of wild strawberries and black tea. On the mouth, you get juicy black cherry flavors and notes of cola with hints of vanilla, toasted oak and well balanced tannins. A silky texture leads to a long finish
